<![CDATA[Summer Hair]]>Mon, 24 Jun 2013 14:15:34 GMThttp://fasmarketplace.com/creatiff-hair--makeup/summer-hair

Ladies it's summer time and we all know that means: heat, humidity, and outdoor activities. And those three are never good when it comes to our hair.

First and foremost, to give your hair a fighting chance against humidity, you must maintain proper moisture. Restoring the protein in your hair maintain the proper amounts moisture. The key to doing this is finding a product that is lightweight (but still very nourishing for your the hair).

Note: Something to keep in mind is what will work for someone else may not necessarily work for you. So there is always a trial and error period when it comes to finding what works for your own hair.
1. Some products to use after shampooing (that I recommend) include: hair mask (ex. Hair mayonnaise), deep conditioners, and hot oil treatments. These products should not be used after every shampoo. They should be used on monthly bases. Using too frequently will cause build-up.
2. It is important to always condition hair after shampooing. Some products that I recommend before blow drying include: hair milks, anti-frizzes, leave-in treatments/conditioners, shines, glossers, and or hair creams. These products are fine to use in combination or individually after shampooing hair.
Important Note: Once you have applied the desired products, it is very important to dry hair completely. Applying heat (whether by blow drying only or blow and flat ironing, seals and infuses the product into the hair. If hair isn’t completely dry and you go outside your hair will absorb the humidity and poof! There goes your hair style.
Another thing to remember is to always rinse hair after a pool or beach day. When sleeping you should braid or wrap hair with a silk or satin scarf. You can also sleep on satin pillow cases. Trimming hair on regular bases is important. The older the hair the more damaged and stressed it becomes. So to maintain a healthy look, trimming off those dead ends give your hair a cleaner look.
When it comes to buying products, if you are want to go the professional product route ,I suggest you purchase products from professional salons.

<![CDATA[The Summer Look]]>Fri, 10 May 2013 13:08:18 GMThttp://fasmarketplace.com/creatiff-hair--makeup/the-summer-lookPicture
Ok ladies summer time is right around the corner. So let’s talk about the do’s for the summer time look. It’s all about the colors…colors….colors!!! Yellows, golds, greens, blues, and purples are really great colors but you want to stay away from anything to dark if you are doing a daytime look. Darks are for nights and/or special events.

Getting the Look

Picture
 • Prime eyes with a very thin layer of any shade of primer. If you’re doing full face your going to want to prime your entire face with a foundation primer as well. During the day you definitely want to a take the less is more approach unless your outfit is already very subtle.
 • When applying eye shadow, start with the inner lid has always been the best approach using very short strokes.

 • Then continue to mid lid.
 • Once you’re ready to apply color to the outer lid generally you want to go with the darkest color from your color scheme. No matter the color scheme or how many colors it is very important to blend the colors. You never want to see lines.
 • After you have applied your desired color scheme, contour your brow bone by highlighting with a shade close or even lighter than your own complexion.

The Finishing Touches

Eye liner comes in different forms: pencil (manual sharpen), push-up pencil (I find these to be more pliable and softer), liquid, and gel ( personal favorite).

Applying liner gives the eye more shape and definition. Adding liner the lower lid adds more drama to your look (optional). Depending on the look, a little smudging on the lower lid may be needed if using the soft push up pencil.
The last step is mascara, which is a very important touch and gives you a finished look.
