Brianne Elizabeth James, Actress and Aspiring Chef

    14-year-old Brianne Elizabeth Dixon James is an actress, voice actress, reporter, philanthropist, and model. She has appeared on Evil on CBS, Top Elf on Nickelodeon, and Little Big Shots on NBC.            Brianne’s voiceover work includes work for Nickelodeon, Scheels, Pinna Audio, Moonbug, Children’s National, and My Eye Doctor among others.
     Brianne is a seasoned reporter and host. Most notably, Brianne hosted the Webby nominated Amazon Studios’ Little Late Night, where she interviewed veteran actresses Mindy Kaling and Emma Thompson as part of the Late Night Movie press tour. Brianne was also featured on Season 2 of Little Big Shots as “America’s Youngest Newscaster” when she was just 8 years old.
     Additionally, Brianne has appeared on a number of local television programs in the DMV (DC, Maryland and Virginia) area, including Good Morning Washington and Good Day DC. Brianne also hosted and cohosted a number of DC area fashion shows and events, including Kids Fashion Week DMV, Picole Live Kids Fashion Show, In His Image Fashion Show, and TEI Charity Fundraiser just to name a few.
     Brianne loves serving her community, which is evident through her philanthropic endeavors and charitable projects that she founded. At 9 years old, Brianne founded Statement Zone, a tshirt/apparel line that sells t-shirts and sweatshirts with positive message to help raise funds for her Brianne and Friends Shoe Drive (an annual charitable campaign that provides brand new black shoes to school children in Jamaica) and Brianne and Friends Charity shop (an annual gift giving venture that provides new gifts to children in the DMV area).
     Additionally, Brianne lends her skills and talents to a number of causes benefiting children and families in the DMV area and Jamaica. Most notable, Brianne is the youth brand ambassador for One Love 4 Kids charity. And for the past 5 years, she has partnered with local radio personality Poet Taylor as one of the main sponsors of “Poet’s Bits of Joy and Toys” - an annual holiday gift giving event-benefiting children in Washington, DC and surrounding areas.
     When Brianne is not working on her acting, reporting, small business, and charitable causes, she enjoys studying, traveling, rollerblading, baking, cooking, swimming, tennis, reading, playing the piano, and talking on the phone with friends. ​

Growing up in Jamaica, I have always wanted Jamaican cuisine to make a huge mark in the gastronomic world. My Family would often take trips to Portland the home of jerk; I knew that the flavor and the aroma were as infectious as reggae and our smile, I wanted to replicate that for people from everywhere to enjoy; I made every effort to get it right.
In 2009, after countless attempt, I got the right jerk seasoning formula, this jerk seasoning captured the aromas of my youth. 
Established in 2012, Island Bwoy Cuisine is the realization of my longtime dream. While a student at the Culinary Institute of America, I conceived the idea of making a sausage that embodied the essence of Jamaica. 

Now you can enjoy my jerk seasoning in the way you choose or through our sauce. 
At Island Bwoy Cuisine, we use our jerk seasoning to make not only jerk sausage but our jerk sauce, a product that can used to compliment or accompany dishes.With encouragement and endorsements from believers, Island Bwoy Cuisine was able to market our products to high end super markets and restaurants.
