LaikMalaika Ankrah, more commonly known as "Laik", is a talented young singer/songwriter with a growing fanbase of new age music lovers, taking his talents to the global stage.
Born, raised and still rising out of the underground music scene of Sierra Leone, the multi-faceted artist has a diverse sound that cuts across multiple genres. His ability to bend genres in different styles and vocal range gives him a distinctive aura. Laik began his career in 2017 with the release of his debut single "Love Me". His debut EP, "Wanted", followed in 2020, signifying the Pandemic period as he aimed to use "good music" to help people forget the "current situation". His sound is softly soothing and sensual-crafting pop-perfect anthems with an Afro-Heat infused backbone. Laik is inspired by subjects and stories from personal experiences that are also relatable to his audience. He brings socially conscious lyricism to powerful emotive tracks, often touching on his struggles of growing up as a child in Sierra Leone, along with other issues, such as depression and anxiety. |

Alex JohnsonMy name is Alex Johnson, I'm a self taught street artist from Wheaton, Maryland. Being from such a diverse area one of my biggest influences on my art is all the different cultures around me. I love how prideful people are of where they're from, whether that be their family heritage or just the city they're from. I believe all the differences in people and everyone's uniqueness is one of the most beautiful parts of this world. I've done murals for multiple recording studios, black owned businesses, and other types of establishments. Street art means the most to me because it's so community based and builds a sense of togetherness. Being able to leave that surprising wow moment in people as they unexpectedly come across my work as they walk through the city during their regular daily life and sparking a sense of emotion, inspiration, and wonder is the reason I do my art. As I grow as an artist I'm working to open my own art studio designed to dive into many types of art styles such as photography, screen printing, fashion, music performance, and so much more. The goal is to build a place and community of artists to create, connect, unleash our creative talent, and learn from each other so we can thrive as artists and do what we love full time.
